The Fundamentals of Creative Thinking
Background Being creative in their thinking - to find imaginative and new ideas, 'get out of the box' is recognised as an essential part of organisational success. Everyone does so-called 'brainstorming' and the like (often at clients' request for those within agencies) but with varying degrees of success and expertise. Sometimes we get stuck, and sometimes it degenerates into silliness. Fortunately, there are a host of techniques that provide a short cut to help us 'think creatively', and procedures that can help ensure that the thinking is focused and useful. Purpose and Aims The purpose of this workshop is to introduce delegates to a series of tools and techniques that will open up their creative mind and enhance their thinking in ways that are imaginative and purposeful. The workshop helps delegates use this learning to manage 'creativity sessions' (formal and informal; internal and with clients) in constructive and effective ways. For The intention is to enhance the techniques of all those required to generate ideas and think imaginatively. Format A one-day workshop comprising informal lectures, tutorials and exercises to ensure delegates learn, and know how to utilise, creative thinking tools and techniques in practical and effective ways.
